The band VENDED, led by Griffin Taylor, son of SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR vocalist Corey Taylor, will embark on a two-week U.S. tour next month. The tour begins Nov. 9 in Nashville and ends Nov. 23 in Buffalo.
VENDED last performed at Knotfest Iowa on Sept. 25 at National Balloon Classic Field in Indianola, Iowa.
A week earlier, VENDED released their debut single, “Asylum.” The track features stunning rhythm section by Simon Crahan (son of SLIPKNOT percussionist Sean “Clown” Crahan) and Jeremy Pugh (bass), ferocious guitar work by Cole Espeland (lead guitar) and Connor Grodziki (rhythm guitar).
VENDED’s fresh and unique sound heralds a new era and the arrival of a new generation of brutality from Des Moines, Iowa. Formed in February 2018, VENDED showcases a fiercely heavy sound built on a foundation laid by the speed, power and precision of the rhythm section, with ferocious guitars, crushing solos and gruff but melodic vocals that describe the harsh realities of life in their songs.
VENDED first performed in 2020 as part of the virtual Pulse Of The Maggots festival. Their live performance, filmed at The Electric Theater, garnered more than 100,000 views on YouTube and brought the band many new fans from around the world eager to hear more songs from the five-piece.
VENDED played their first show in March 2020 at the iconic local club Vaudeville Mews in Des Moines, Iowa.
Griffin, who looks a lot like his father, previously showcased his skills when he joined Corey on stage during STONE SOUR performances in 2017 and 2018. According to The Pulse Of Radio, he has also previously played cover tunes with Simon Crahan, while Clown’s daughter Alexandria Crahan-Conway took some press photos.
