Rock ‘n’ roll icon and two-time Grammy Award winner Tom Morello has released the third single from his highly anticipated album, The Atlas Underground Fire. The track “Let’s Get The Party Started” is a collaboration with BRING ME THE HORIZON.
Tom said:
“BRING ME THE HORIZON are really the current standard bearers of hard rock/metal today, God bless them.
This song was written on three continents – Oli [lead singer Oliver Sykes] was in Brazil, Jordan [Fish, keyboardist] was in England, and then I was here in LA. It was a real Metal United Nations coming together to produce this song, and I really think it reflects the longing and frustration caused by a pandemic that’s escalating into unprecedented garbage.
This song also has one of my favorite guitar solos, which I’ve played for quite some time, as I really spent a lot of time making the solo as devastating as the track.”
Morello, co-founder of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, AUDIOSLAVE and PROPHETS OF RAGE, will release “The Atlas Underground Fire” Oct. 15 on the Mom + Pop Music label. Last month, Morello released the second single from the album, “Driving To Texas,” featuring Phantogram. The first single from the album was the classic AC / DC rock anthem “Highway To Hell,” featuring Morello, Bruce Springsteen and Eddie Vedder.
